Genesis 1:2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
The earth was formless and shapeless and the Spirit of God was incubating on what He wanted to create. The Holy Spirit is the first Person to be revealed in the Scriptures.
