IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW AND USE WHAT YOU’VE GOT IN CHRIST
1 John 5:11 NIV “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
Moses and the Israelites were in a quagmire before the Red Sea, and in panic, they cried out to God for help. The Lord, however, responded to Moses in a most amazing manner: “…Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground” (Exodus 14:15-16 NIV). The Lord was making Moses aware that the help he required was already with him. In other words, “Moses, use what you have!”
In our wonderful journey of faith, God expects us to have a life of continual victory and prosperity; and all that’s required is for you to use what you have. As a Christian, you have treasures resident in your spirit (2 Corinthians 4:7). One of such treasures is eternal life. Jesus said, “...He who believes in Me has everlasting life” (John 6:47). Everlasting life here refers to the incorruptible life of God in your spirit. Use this life in you against any health challenge that may be trying to find a place in your body. Declare, “I refuse to accommodate any sickness, disease or pain in my body because I have the life of God in me!”
Another thing you have is righteousness from the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:21, Philippians 3:9), so when the devil tries to weaken your faith by making you feel unrighteous, you ought to say to him: “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! Get out, in Jesus’ Name!” If he tries to make you feel you’ve got a problem loving others, declare: “The love of God has been poured out within my heart through the Holy Spirit who was given to me” (Romans 5:5). You’re a manifestation of God’s love, and it radiates through you. Think this way about yourself; speak and live accordingly. It’s so important to know what you have in Christ, and the way to know is from the Word of God. Learn more about what you have in Christ and confess it.
