Scriptures For Meditation - May

STUDY: TRUE WORSHIP (PART 2)

Rom. 8:9 - But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, He is none of his.
Phillippians 3:3 says, For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
You should subdue your flesh until it is broken.

Always put the spirit first.
Its same also in prayer. 1 Corinth. 14:15 says, What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
He puts the spirit first.

Going to Church looking gorgeous ready to dance and praise the Lord, is beautiful, but if its not done from the spirit, its not worship, its not true worship.
Worship is not jumping and dancing so much that the earth quakes as you move your steps. It is a spirit thing. Its from the spirit.

One of the things God requires of you during worship is your heart. You completely yield yourself by allowing the ascendancy of the spirit over everything else so He can speak to you. Most times you do not realize when your hands go up in the air.
God is a master communicator. You have to be sensitive to Him.

Don't let your life get dominated by natural cicumstances. Put the spirit first at all times.
Those adverse circumstances are a lie, so don't observe them. Just as Jonah did (Jonah 2), begin to worship God and declare your victory even in the midst of that seemingly hopeless situation and you will come out on dry ground. Praise God!
