1 Thessalonians 1:6-7
And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.
So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
Don't look back when you follow the Lord no matter the persecution. Luke 9:62 says And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Just like those followers of Paul, receive the Word with joy in the Holy Ghost at all times and become examples for others to follow.
