WHEN THERE'S A MATTER
"For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue isn't speaking unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries" (1 Corinthians 14:2)
There's something the Lord has given to us that we need to learn how to use. That is speaking with unknown tongues! You've got to understand that so much pressure is mounted on the adversary when you speak in other tongues.
God doesn't expect you to speak in tongues only when you're excited or when you want to get some spiritual high. No! Apart from activating and edifying our spirits, it's a gift He gave to us to use whenever there's "matter at hand"! By this I mean when there's an issue you want to deal with or when there are "matters arising" concerning your health, business, family, job, finances or marriage. You can effect a positive change by speaking in other tongues. It doesn't matter what the problem is, you can effect a change in the realm of the Spirit as you speak in other tongues.
Now, one of the beautiful things that happen when you pray like this is that the Holy Spirit gives you a revelation; He gives you a Word about that situation. When praying in other tongues, I always wait for a revelation because I know the Holy Spirit will move at the declaration of that Word. So, as you pray in other tongues, wait for that revelation or Word from the Holy Spirit. Once you get it, begin to proclaim it. As you do that, the power of the Holy Spirit will be activated on your behalf to effect the change you desire.
