Proverbs 16:5
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, He shall not be unpunished.
The Amplified Classic Version says,
Proverbs 16:5 AMPC
Everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; be assured [I pledge it] they will not go unpunished.
