Philippians 3:3
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Romans 8:8-9 says,
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
We are God's circumcised ones which worship God in the Spirit (See John 4:24) and rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh.
Romans 8:13 says,
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
True worship is from the spirit and it's done in spirit and in truth. This is what God is looking for.
Thank God we are not in the flesh.
Romans 8:9 says,
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, He is none of his.
Our worship therefore is from the spirit.
