Scriptures For Meditation - April

STUDY: TRUE WORSHIP (Part 1)

TRUE WORSHIP (PART 1)

John 4:23-24

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Everytime you turn away from everyone and everything to worship God, you send forth incense unto God and it takes a child of God to send forth incense by the Spirit into the presence of God.

Giving God thanks, praising Him, presenting our bodies to Him and living holy lives before Him are our expressions of worship.

Heb. 13:15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Rom. 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

When we worship and praise God, and present our bodies as living sacrifices to Him, His presence rubs upon us and overshadows us. It breaks us.

True worship is from the spirit. It is done in spirit and in truth. Never get distracted or allow things take your attention away from Him during worship.

When you stay in continual contact with God through worship you are broken. You should learn to be broken in the presence of God.

A good example of how to be broken in the presence of God can be seen in John 3:30, He must increase, but I must decrease.
